Raising Funds for Lung Research
The tulip, our signature flower, is low fragrance and non-allergic, which allows it to be enjoyed by everyone, especially people with breathing difficulties.
By purchasing tulips you are supporting lung health research and programs for people who desire to learn more about managing and living with lung disease.
Workplace Champions are the special volunteers who collect orders of tulips from colleagues and places the order with The Lung Association.
Volunteers are needed to help deliver the flowers to workplaces as well as hosting onsite sales.

When you Can't Breathe, Nothing Else Matters
The Lung Association's slogan rings true for people in Ontario every day. Meet Irene Donaldson, a friend, volunteer and program participant at our Ottawa office. Irene shares her reminder of the importanace of supporting research, services and programs at The Lung Association.
“The Ontario Lung Association's Tulip Day raises funds for vital research projects, services and programs for people living with lung disease. One such program is the Pulmonary Exercise Maintenance Program in Ottawa which I attend twice a week. These programs are extremely important to anyone with a lung disease. Through the program I have learned how to live with COPD – Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. I can show my support to the Lung Association being a Volunteer Driver on Tulip Day and it's a bonus that the tulips are low- fragrance and my favorite flower."
