Welcome to the Ontario Lung Association Asthma Action Program. To help meet the needs of the rising number of people affected by asthma, The Lung Association provides important educational resources and programs.

Over half of Canadians with asthma do not have their condition under good control.1 Therefore the Asthma Action Program focuses on providing education on the proper management of asthma so that individuals can live full, active lives. Today we have the knowledge and proper treatments to take control of asthma, and we’re here to show you how.

The Asthma Action Program provides:

    • Lung Health Information Line: 1-888-344-LUNG (5864)

        • Available to residents of Ontario, Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:30pm

        • Certified Respiratory Educators can answer your questions and help you take control of your asthma

    • Asthma Basics and Management: In this online section, you can learn the basics of asthma such as diagnosis, treatments and proper asthma management, what asthma triggers you may need to avoid, as well as other special topics.

    • Asthma Action Resource Centre: Educational literature on asthma is available to be viewed within this website or ordered through our online ordering system and mailed to residents of Ontario free of charge. Keep up-to-date on the latest asthma news by subscribing to our regular e-newsletters.

    • Find an Asthma Program in Your Community: Search our list of asthma education centres, asthma clinics, and asthma support groups in Canada.
