Welcome to The Lung Association's Asthma Action Program. About 2.5 million Canadians and 300 million people worldwide have asthma. An individual in Ontario has a 40 per cent risk of developing asthma before they reach 40 years of age. With these great numbers, the Ontario Lung Association knows the importance of providing proper educational resources and services for those affected by asthma.
About 60 per cent of Canadians with asthma do not have their condition under good control. Therefore the Asthma Action Program focuses on
providing education on the proper management of asthma so that individuals can live full, active lives. Today we have the knowledge
and proper treatments to take control of asthma, and we’re here to show you how.
